Brittany Clifford

Brittany Clifford is a self-taught abstract artist from Westchester, New York, currently based in Miami Beach, Florida. She studied Fashion Design and Textile Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Working primarily on large-scale raw canvas, Brittany uses watered-down acrylics, spray paint, and oil pastel to create ethereal, dream-like compositions. Her work explores memory, emotion, and presence, offering a visual language for what words cannot express.

Her work explores memory and emotion through abstraction, shaped by past experiences and present feeling. Using intuitive, fluid processes on raw canvas, she allows the materials to guide each composition as layers build over time. Themes of connection, release, and transformation run throughout her practice. Rather than telling a fixed story, her paintings invite viewers to bring their own meaning into the work, allowing each piece to evolve within its space.
