Gaby Silva Bavio

Gaby was born in La Plata, Argentina, where she began her early studies in art. She moved to the United States at a young age and now lives and works in Chicago. Gaby studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she further developed her artistic practice.

Deeply inspired by nature, Gaby finds beauty in the living world around her, particularly in the mirrored reflections of water, as well as in flowers, plants, light and shadow. These elements come alive in her colorful, richly textured painting.

Working primarily in oil on canvas, Gaby also explores mixed media as part of her creative process. Her work is held in collection around the world, including England, Italy, the United States, Argentina, Chile, and Australia.
